The Interfaculty Centre for Educational Research (ICER) has been founded in 2018 by the Faculty of Human Sciences and Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences of the University of Bern. Dr. Andrea Erzinger is in charge of the management.
The main objective is the coordination and quality assurance of national and international Large-Scale Assessments in educational research.
The ICER is currently responsible for coordinating the large-scale assessments of skills attainment in Swiss compulsory schools in 2020 and 2022 (the so-called "ÜGK") as well as PISA 2021. In this context, cooperation is beeing established with project partners from the various language regions.
